Is there a service fee on the menu during Restaurant Week?

Restaurants taking part in Restaurant Week offer 3-course menus for a price of 5,900, 7,900 or 9,900 HUF.
These are set, final prices that may not be topped by a service fee.

Receipts given by our restaurants may include a separately listed service fee.
This is possible due to some restaurants charging a default service fee, but this amount is already included in the menu price.
Let’s take the example of a restaurant that offers a menu price of 9,900 HUF, but otherwise charges a 10% service fee:
-in this case the restaurant’s receipt shows a default 9,000 HUF menu price and adds a 10% service fee that adds up to the final price of 9,900 HUF
-this method of invoicing is completely legal as customers are given a receipt that shows the advertised amount

There are also restaurants that do not normally charge a service fee. In this case, when taking a default menu price of 9,900 HUF, the receipt is going to show this exact amount with no additional service fee included.

It is important to note that any consumption of drinks will fall outside of the advertised fixed menu prices or the above mentioned special service fee calculation. Drinks are served according to each restaurant’s own price list and might draw an extra service fee, depending on whether the restaurant normally charges said fee.
